Navigating Transition

Navigating transitions can be a challenging part of leadership in a church community. It takes a particular set of skills to become a gatherer/builder/pastor, yet it requires different skills and processes to transition well in a community. Whether it is the transition of a senior leader, elder, pastor, or other significant roles in a church community, certain processes and aides can help the transition be healthy and go better. Transitions regarding leadership involve more than the leaders as communities are emotional systems and ecosystems that are impacted significantly by change. In this 20-minute video on transition, we unearth some of the challenges and opportunities available. We follow two dynamic yet different stories in the Canadian Vineyard as they successfully transitioned their leadership.
