They have been married for seven years following the loss of their first spouses—Marilyn in a car accident and Jake to cancer. Having known each other for over 40 years and having served in ministry as couples during that time, their shared history brings depth to their partnership in life and ministry.
Dave has served as a bi-vocational pastor, working as a commercial fisherman for over 30 years. His real-life experience provides him with many practical illustrations of faith in action, which he uses to teach about everyday life in the Kingdom of God.
Since his conversion in 1972, Dave has carried a strong passion for missions. He has participated in local outreach as well as short-term missions in countries like Guyana, Guatemala, Haiti, and the Bahamas. Although he felt called to Romania as early as 1974, it took 40 years for that vision to be fulfilled. Today, Dave and Ada are actively involved in helping plant and build a church in Romania, supported by the Annapolis Basin Vineyard Church and partner churches across Canada and the U.S.
Dave's life motto, "Never Give Up," is a message he shares at every opportunity. He is the son of the late Charlie Taylor, a professor of theology at Acadia Divinity College, whose wisdom and example profoundly shaped Dave's walk of faith. Before stepping into pastoral ministry in 2001, Dave also led worship for many years.
Ada, alongside her late husband, helped found a church in Bridgetown, Living Word Fellowship, where she co-pastored and led women's Bible studies—an area of ministry she continues to pursue with grace and passion.
Together, Dave and Ada serve the local church with joy and music, united in their love for God and His people. They share a deep commitment to missions and have ministered together in England and Eastern Europe, spreading the good news of Jesus. They look forward with anticipation to future opportunities to serve others and advance the Kingdom.
