When an octogenarian Indigenous elder and the National Director of Vineyard Canada sit down for a chat, truth bombs begin to fly! Carol Lovejoy is part of our national team, and she graciously agreed to share her wisdom with us. In this first of three episodes, Carol Lovejoy and David Ruis explore what it means to be a “People of the Way” following Jesus on the ancient path He invites us to journey in truth.

Carol Anne Lovejoy is an 85-year-old Indigenous Elder and longtime member of Vineyard Canada. She has been faithfully serving as part of Harvest Vineyard Church in Edmonton, Alberta, since it was first planted. Born and raised in Edmonton as the fifth of nine children, Carol received Jesus into her heart as a young child and, 54 years ago, experienced a profound life-changing and healing encounter with God that reshaped her journey. A devoted intercessor, she has been involved in reconciliation work across Canada, the United States, Israel, and other nations for more than 30 years. Carol is a mother of four, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of nine, and considers her greatest investment to be loving God wholeheartedly and living out Christ in the heart of her family.
