Carol Lovejoy and David Ruis continue their dialogue about what it means to be a “People of the Way”, especially in terms of how we relate to Jesus as a person, rather than using His name for power. What can their collective wisdom teach us about our own identity in Christ, the difference between power and authority, and learning to walk in the way of Jesus? This episode dives deep on what’s in a name, God’s authority and presence on earth, how the land remembers, and a whole lot more. You might want to listen twice!
Carol Anne Lovejoy is an 85-year-old Indigenous Elder and longtime member of Vineyard Canada. A devoted intercessor, she has been involved in reconciliation work across Canada, the United States, Israel, and other nations for more than 30 years. Carol is a mother of four, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of nine, and considers her greatest investment to be loving God wholeheartedly and living out Christ in the heart of her family.
